On April 14 thru April 21, I am participating in the Key to Keys bike ride, from Key Highway in Baltimore to Key West in Florida. I am riding in memory of my son, Bo Oliver, who died June 1, 2016 from Ewings Sarcoma. He was an amazing son, brother, fiance and musician. Music was a core part of Bo’s being his whole life, it served as a wonderful therapy for him throughout this journey. He was an accomplished musician and luthier, a craftsman of guitars, who completed several restoration projects.
Bo relied on his music to make the stress of his treatments bearable. He would want to share his love of music with those who would benefit most from its healing properties. We started an organization, the BoStrong Foundation, in his memory. We are partnering with Ulman to provide a music therapy room in the new UCF House.
I am riding to support the amazing UCF organization and all that they do for young adults with cancer and their families. I have been personally touched by all that they do and want to be a part of paying it forward.

The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults changes lives by creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer. With your support, the Ulman Cancer Fund is able to provide free support services and resources for the young adult cancer community including:
Cancer to 5K - a 12-week training program designed to introduce or reintroduce cancer survivors to physical activity.
UCF House - a “home away from home” to provide free housing for young adult cancer patients, and their caregivers, in East Baltimore.
Patient Navigation - a free program (onsite at cancer centers and remotely through our office) that ensures no young adult ever faces cancer alone. We provide one-on-one support & resources to young adults and their families to help them manage the cancer experience and long-term cancer survival.
Scholarships - a financial assistance program to help young adults continue their education after being affected by cancer through their own diagnosis or the diagnosis of a loved one.
