Seventeen years ago I lost my mom to cancer. As a recent college graduate, I was devastated, but there were two things that brought me the strength, support and purpose I needed to go on – the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults and running.

I've been fortunate to run many miles, and as President and CEO of UCF, I’ve also seen the impact this organization has had on thousands of other young adults and families that have stood in similar shoes. I’ve made it my life’s mission to share this with others and I’m inviting you to join me for an experience that will bring UCF and running together in an extraordinary way.

The Point to Point journey will bring together a diverse group of individuals to build a community of support for those affected by cancer. Along with a team of 25 other passionate people, we will give support, get support and change lives as we run down the East Coast to Key West, FL. Starting in Baltimore, MD on October 7th and ending in Key West, FL October 14th, we will collectively run over 1,400 Miles in 7 Days.

Point to Point will visit cancer centers and communities along the way to offer service and deliver hope to the young adult cancer fight. All funds raised from this effort will enhance and expand UCF’s patient navigation and cancer survivorship programs, which benefited my family and me during our cancer experience.

The Point to Point journey is more than just a run. It’s not a race. It’s not a competition. It’s an experience that promises to be life changing for everyone involved.

If you’re interested in being a part of Mission to Vine and the impact we’re going to have, I invite you to join us by making a donation. Your support will help us give cancer patients and survivors the support necessary to run after they face cancer.

Cancer changes lives…so do WE!

ABOUT 2017 Point to Point

The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults changes lives by creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer. With your support, the Ulman Cancer Fund is able to provide free support services and resources for the young adult cancer community including:

Cancer to 5K - a 12-week training program designed to introduce or reintroduce cancer survivors to physical activity.

Patient Navigation - a free program (onsite at cancer centers and remotely through our office) that ensures no young adult ever faces cancer alone. We provide one-on-one support & resources to young adults and their families to help them manage the cancer expereience and long-term cancer survival.

Scholarships - a financial assistance program to help young adults continue their education after being affected by cancer through their own diagnosis or the diagnosis of a loved one.

Your donation will help make these programs and our mission possible!
