It's hard to beleive that it has been almost five years since I heard the words, "You have cancer." In April 2016, I will be celebrate being 5 years cancer-free by participating in the Key to Keys ride from Key Highway in Baltimore to Key West, Florida! So much has happened since April 2011. I have challenged myself in ways I never thought possible. I kicked cancer's ass and completed my treatment, crossed the finishline of a 5K with my Cancer to 5K team, crossed the finishline of two Iron Girls, participated in the Half-Full Triathlon as part of a relay team with Jack and John, and in 2014 was part of the Key to keys team. On my first Key to Keys ride, I dedicated my ride to Sarah Horn who was a ray of sunshine. Her picture sits on my desk as a daily reminder of why I do the work that I do at the Ulman Cancer Fund. 

This year, I will be riding for another fabulous and incredibly inspiring young woman who I met at the Charleston Cancer Center during the 2015 Key to Keys ride. Her name is Whitney Cox. She, too, is a ray of sunshine, full of strength and inspiration. I can't wait to meet up with her again as we pass through Charleston and visit the Charleston Cancer Center. UCF Key to Keys Experience is a journey that brings together a diverse group of individuals to build a community of support for those affected by cancer. Using cycling as a platform, Key to Keys participants come together throughout the journey to share their individual cancer connections and give out as much support to others as they are receiving.
