Welcome and thank you for taking the time to click on our link and learn more about the Ulman Cancer Fund and our commitment to Team Fight in the NYC TCS Marathon. We are very excited (and scared) to run 26.2 miles to raise money for such a great cause. So what is the Ulman Cancer Fund?
The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults changes lives by creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, as they fight cancer and embrace survivorship. They have been a leading voice in the young adult cancer movement, grassroots level to support, educate, connect, and empower young adult cancer survivors. Since inception in 1997, they have been working tirelessly at both the community level and with national partners to raise awareness of the young adult cancer issue, and to ensure all young adults and families impacted by cancer have a voice and the resources necessary to thrive.
We became involved in the Ulman Cancer Fund last fall after attending an event we were invited to by one of Carter's colleagues, Jim Wood. We found it inspirational and something we could connect too as young adults who have had family members affected by cancer. Starting in August, we will also be training young adults in the Cancer to 5k program. In the past 2 years we have completed 2 half marathons. Never did we think we would attempt to run a full. Your generous support to the Ulman Cancer Fund will motivate us throughout our training!

The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults changes lives by creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, as they fight cancer and embrace survivorship.
With your support, The Ulman Cancer Fund is able to provide multiple support services and resources for the young adult cancer community, including:

Cancer to 5K - A free, progressive, 12-week run/walk program designed to reintroduce cancer survivors to physical activity.

Helping Others Fight - A volunteer program that provides basic services – such as transportation to and from treatment, yard work, home repairs, delivery of chemo care bags – to local cancer patients and their families so they can focus their energy on their battle with cancer and their well-being.

Patient Navigation - A free program - onsite at cancer centers and remote - that ensures no young adult ever faces cancer alone. We provide one-on-one personal support and resources to young adults and their families to help them manage the cancer experience and long-term cancer survival.

Scholarships - A financial assistance program to help young adults continue their education after being affected by cancer through their own diagnosis or the diagnosis of a loved one.
